musicwend (“we”, “us”) is a music education platform operated by Justin Reynolds. Questions about this policy can be sent via our contact page.

• Account information you provide: name, email address, and password (stored hashed).
• Learning activity: exercises completed, progress, preferences, and teacher/student connections.
• Billing information: processed by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer ID and subscription status, never full card details.
• Technical data: IP address, browser, and device information collected automatically through cookies and server logs.

• To provide, secure, and improve the service.
• To process subscriptions and send transactional email (account, billing, password resets).
• To send optional product updates you've opted into.
• To diagnose errors and monitor performance.

We share the minimum data necessary with the following processors:

• Stripe - payment processing and subscription management.
• Vercel - hosting and deployment.
• Neon - PostgreSQL database hosting.
• Cloudflare R2 - media and file storage.
• Resend - transactional email delivery.
• Sentry - error monitoring.

We do not sell personal information to anyone.

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA) you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We'll respond within 30 days.

We keep account and learning data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

musicwend is not directed to children under 13. If a teacher connects a student under 13, that teacher is responsible for obtaining any verifiable parental consent required by applicable law (including COPPA). If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13 without the required consent, we will delete it.

We operate from the United States. By using musicwend you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.
